2022 after losing her 14 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born in Columbus,
Nebraska and preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Dale and DeVoe Ann Collins, grandparents, Doris and Charles Dunivan, William Carl Fischer, and Thomas and Mildred Collins.
Cristine Collins attended school in Gallup, NM, Lincoln, NE, Torrington, WY, Wahpeton, ND, and
Waukesha, WI. In 1974, Cristine Collins graduated high school from Wahpeton High School.
She attended North Dakota State School of Science and Waukesha County Technical College in
Wisconsin. She worked in the newspaper industry with her parents while growing up but later
became a civilian employee at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL. Cristine Collins spent
40 years working in different capacities at the Naval Air Station. The last 25 years were spent
working under the Naval Supply Systems Command - Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville.
While growing up, Cristine Collins enjoyed spending time at the family cottage on Ottertail Lake
in Minnesota. She enjoyed ice skating, sledding, and snowmobiling at Chahinkapa Park while
living in North Dakota. She was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wahpeton where she
was a Rainbow Girl. Cristine Collins just loved spending time with her family. After moving to
Florida, she loved to go on family vacations to Central Florida destinations. Her favorite theme
park was Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and
nephews as well as her grand nieces and grand nephews.
Cristine Deann Collins is survived by her two brothers, Gregory D. Collins (Jane), Richard
C.Collins (Debra), and sister, Jacqueline J. Snyder; ten nephews and nieces, Nathan Collins
(Kristina), Adam Collins (Brittany), Grant Collins (Katherine), Logan Collins (Andrea), Sally Doty
(Benjamin); Cassie Malone (John), Katie Cooper (Gary), Kellie Henry (Christopher), Matthew
Snyder, Michelle Shearin (Brian); and 17 great nieces and nephews, Owen Collins, Madeline
Collins, Liam Collins, Kate Collins, John Collins, Lauren Collins, Thomas Collins, Theodore
Collins, Eleanor Collins, Zachary Collins, Baylee Malone, Rylee Cooper, Aria Henry, Grayson
Snyder, Brian Shearin, Jr., Lucas Shearin, and Piper Shearin.
A private family service will be held at 10 A.M. on August 15, 2022 in the chapel at
Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL. Cristine
