

Dirk Molendyk, born on November 2, 1955, in Newark, New Jersey, passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 70. He was the beloved son of the late Bertha and Cornelius Molendyk. Dirk was a resident of Middleburg, Florida, where he was known for his adventurous spirit, bravery, generosity, hard work, humor, selflessness, and devotion.

children; Jessica Scoble (Anthony), Michael Scoble and Alexander Molendyk, granddaughters; Anessa Scoble and Lisanna Scoble
sister Hermina Molendyk Wolfe (Michael), Nieces; Amanda Wolfe (Vinny), Brittany Smith (Alex), Meredith Wolfe, Lisa Landreville (Paul), Dawn Hulme (George), Melanie Lombardi (Mike), great nieces and nephews; Ronan Smith, Raven Maxfield, Sebastian Landreville, Harleigh Landreville, Rachel Hulme, Samantha Hulme (Adam Omar), Jacob Hulme, Isabella Lombardi, Emiliana Lombardi and Niccolo Lombardi, and great great nephew Jaxcen Hulme. Dirk is preceded in death by his sister Betty Maxfield and her husband Don.
Dirk loved being a greeter at the Middleburg Walmart for the last five years of his life. Prior to that, he worked as a school bus driver for First Student from 2002 to 2020. His dedication to the community was evident through his involvement with the youth at church, particularly during Vacation Bible School. Dirk was a member of High Point Community Church in Orange Park, Florida.
He had a passion for fishing and cherished spending time with his family, including spoiling them and his five fur babies. Dirk dedicated his life to love and educate the next generation, serving as a foster parent to six children and adopting one.
A Celebration of Life Service is to be held at High Point Community Church on February 13, 2026 at 11:00 am located at 84 Knight Boxx Road, Orange Park, Florida 32065. Please join family and friends gathering to honor and remember Dirk Molendyk's generous and devoted legacy.
