Mr. Harold Cummings transitioned from this life on Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Lake Mary, Florida. He was born in Starke, Florida, February 24, 1930 to the late John Alexander, Sr. and Mary Reynolds Cummings. He was the fourth of nine children, three sisters and five brothers. He was converted and rendered his life to Christ at an early age. After moving to West Palm Beach, Harold joined Trinity United Methodist Church. He later joined St. Francis of Assisi Church where he served as a lector during Mass services.
His formal education began in the Bradford County school system. He received his high school diploma from Roosevelt High School Adult Education Veterans Program, he also attended Roosevelt Junior College. Harold was an active and dedicated member of the following organizations: Knights of Columbus, Santa Maria Council 4999, Consolidated Club, West Palm Beach, Everglades P.E.R. Council #85, Masonic Lodge Pride of Palm Beach #447, Masud Shrine Temple #69, (Past Potentate), Samuel T. Brady Consistory #312 and Paramount Lodge #526 I.B.P.O.E. of West Palm Beach, FL. Harold Cummings was employed and retired from at the City of West Palm Beach Water Utilities Department after 33 years dedicated service. He later was hired as a Water Utilities Director at Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department and retired from that position after 12 years of service. He leaves a legacy of love to his family: Margaret P. Cummings, sons; Ronald R. (Renata) Cummings, Dante’ C. Cummings, daughter; Karin Y. (Ernest) Wilson and brother; Isaac (Zephaniah) Cummings, Sr. as well as loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters- in- law, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, extended family, friends and neighbors. A visitation will be held 5-7 PM Friday April 6, 2018 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Road Middleburg, Florida 32068. A funeral service is 11 AM Saturday April 7, 2018 at Starke Church of God by Faith, 730 Old Lawtey Road Starke, Florida 32091. Interment will follow at Bob Love Cemetery in Stark, Florida.
