She is preceded in death by her parents Mary (Cordes) and Leon Wilkens. Hillary is survived by her husband of seventeen years, Ronald J. Smith. Three daughters: Abigail Bailey Cordes(23), Hannah Terese Smith(15), and Olivia Grace Smith(10).
Hillary will be remembered for her thoughtful advice, kind heart, and nurturing soul. She took great pride in being a wife and mother. She always made sure that the bellies of her loved ones were full. She had most recently developed a knack for baking fresh bread, which she loved to share with everyone.
Hillary was greatly loved, and will be deeply missed. She was a passionate wife, mother, sister, friend, and teacher. A Celebration of Life for Hillary will be held at the Midlothian Park District, on March 9th at 2 PM, Don Preston Recreation Center, 14500 Kostner Avenue, Midlothian, IL 60445.
