Leonard Roy Stuck, 72 years of age, passed away at Haven Hospice on July 23, 2021. Leonard was a 20 year veteran of the Navy. He felt a great deal of loyalty and patriotism toward this country that he loved and served with pride. Following his Navy career, he was a Nursing Home Administrator. He worked diligently to provide the nursing home residents in his care with the quality of life he felt they should experience. He was a lifetime member of the Masons at Orange Park Lodge #267. He was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association of America, National Skeet Shooting Association, North American Fishing Club and United States Golf Association. He also belonged to the American Legion.
Leonard was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. He instilled that love of outdoor activity in his children. He coached baseball and soccer when his children were young and tried to instill a sense of fair play in all the children he coached.
Leonard was a member of the Middleburg First Church of God, 3965 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg, FL 32068, where he recently served as a member of the Leadership Council.
Leonard was preceded in death by his father, Leroy; his mother, Margie; and his brother, Ronald. He is survived by his brothers Edwin and Keith and their families in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. He is also survived by his wife of 53 years Lynette; his son Jason, his wife Ginalyn and grandsons Kenneth and Kelvin, and his son Adam and his wife Holly and grandchildren Kaylee and Austin all of St Petersburg. He is also survived by his daughter Angie and granddaughter Staci who reside in Middleburg, FL.
Pastor James Jordan will presided over services on Thursday, July 29th, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Middleburg First Church of God. Committal services with military honors will follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
