Lorraine Ann Buzzelli, age 90, of Middleburg, Florida passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cliffside Park, New Jersey to the late ArcAngelo and Theresa Fazio.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her loving husband Andrew Buzzelli. Brother, Patrick Fazio, sisters, Anne Pronko and Louise Fazio.
Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She served as a crossing guard for the school when her children were young, making it her duty and honor to protect "all" the children on her route. However, her proudest career accomplishments were being a housewife and raising her three children. Lorraine was also an extraordinary cook and took such pride in feeding not only her family but anyone who walked into her home. She was a great Italian cook who was best known for her "outstanding" meatballs. Some of her favorite hobbies were knitting, crocheting, ceramics and reading; more recently she had taken up bird watching, computer games and word search puzzles.
When asked what she loved most in her life her answer was always "my family and my faith".
She is survived by her three children: Cheryl Wedemeyer, Lydia Buzzelli, Keith Buzzelli and daughter-in-law Karen (Doyle) Buzzelli, sister, Angela Bullingham; grandchildren: David Wedemeyer, Jessika Buzzelli and Anthony Buzzelli; great grandchildren, Bristol and Karsyn Wedemeyer; and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial service for Lorraine will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hollyhillfunerals.com.
