Martha Bohannon,
It is with tears in my eyes that I must announce the passing of one of the most amazing, loving, big hearted, kind hearted women I know.
I’m so grateful and blessed to have you as an addition mom. You helped raise me and guide me. Our house is not the same without you. You were so precious to me and our whole family. We’re trying to remember the good and happy moments, because we’ve had so many. Our family feels lost right now. We will take care of things and follow your wishes. It was the hardest decision for your sons to let you go darling. When we looked into your eyes and touched your skin, you weren’t in your body anymore.
Thank you for raising amazing sons. You taught them to respect women, and take care of their families. Thank you for teaching them to cook. Wow, they can cook awesome food. We are forever grateful to you and Granddaddy for that.
You touched the hearts of so many children, while being a teacher assistant at Holiday Hill elementary in Jacksonville Florida. You loved each and everyone of them. You taught your sons to not judge others by color, it’s someone’s character that’s important.
You were such a beautiful person. You are the monarch of our family. We take solace in the fact your no longer in pain and suffering. Your back with the love of your life and little bit. We will never forget you momma Dukes.
Martha is survived by her sons Scott Bohannon and Shane Bohannon. There partners and five grandchildren between the two of them, and her five brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Bohannon, her parents George and Maizie Lee.
Forever in our hearts
