We didn’t have the best life. But we made the best of the life we were given. I went 12 years without you and had things going in my ear about reasons why. Well 1 thing I learned is there will always be 2 sides too a story and don’t always believe what you hear but what you see. I’ve went on a mission too find you when I was 17, I’d be damn if I didn’t find you. Giving you a second chance definitely filled a missing part in my heart Dad. I know you’ve made a lot of mistakes but no one’s perfect and at the end of the day your my dad and I know you loved me.We may have not had the best relationship but we damn sure had one and that’s all that matters. I know this isn’t what we wanted but the only positive thing  I can get out of this, is that you finally reunited with mom and I have some amazing angels looking over my family and I. I’m not gonna sit here and beat myself up about the what ifs because I know you would tell me suck it up Biggin. We will all find a way for us too get through this hard time and just take it day by day. I love you dad. You will be missed but not forgotten. Love you so much DAD.

Preceded in death by his father, Milton L. Mercer; Sisters, Anita Crystal Strickland and Debbie Smith, Stepson, Chris Bembry. Michael is survived by his loving spouse of 21 years Paula Bushey; Son, Michael (Michelle) Mercer, Jr., his Mother, Mary E. Bonds. Sister, Stephanie (Jonathan) Bolden, two brothers, Ronnie (Becky) Strickland and Shorty Durden. Stepchildren: Jonathan (Rebecca) Bembry,Joshua Bushey, Chris Bushey and Sharlene Bushey. Four Grandchildren: Paisleigh Mercer, Talon Mercer, Eli Dillavou and Jackson Kelly. Six nephews and four nieces.
