Richard was born on January 13, 1954, in Rhode Island to Richard “Dick” and Reba Pedigo. As a son of a son of a sailor, he moved from base to base throughout his childhood. Rick graduated from Fulton County High School in 1972 before joining the U.S. Navy and was very proud of his service to our country. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and avid Harley Davidson rider. Richard was fond of attending Jacksonville Jaguar and UF Gator football games with his children. As a lover of classic rock and roll, he also enjoyed attending live performances from his favorite bands and was a proud Parrothead.
Richard is survived by his wife, Betty Pedigo; his daughter, Rebecca Rose; his son Steven Pedigo; his mother, Reba Pedigo; his sister, Deborah Tripp; 7 grandbabies, Alexis Winn, Rylan Winn, Blaiden Pedigo, Layla Pedigo, Fletcher Rose, Connor Rose, and Lilith Rose; and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial service with military honors for Richard will be held Friday afternoon, June 14, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Holly Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Faith Parry officiating. Please post words of comfort at www.hollyhillfunerals.com.
