Bill was like a big brother to me.  Was close friends with his sister Rosie Forman.  He was a special man.

So sorry for your loss he was a great guy.  I learned alot from him while I worked at station 4.

Bill fought a tough battle for a long time. He was truly blessed and a very dear friend for 50 years. He spoke so often of his love for you, Ashley (his world) and how blessed he was to have Edward as not just a son-in-law but a son. My heartflet sympathy goes out to you and yours. So many wonderful and heartfelt words have been said here that I can find no additional.

Bill and I go back to Southwest High School days some 50 years ago. I next saw Bill when he joined Dade County Police (PSD). We rode motorcycles on line patrol and did escorts together.

He moved in next to me on Redland Road
in Homestead, FL where we spent many a night talking about our different experiences in Viet Nam and drinking beer.

I last spoke to Bill about three weeks ago and was unaware of how serious his condition was at. That was the kind of man he was and I was happy to call him my friend.

Please accept condolences on behalf of my daughter Kellee, my son Ryan, and myself. God Bless and Semper Fi.

Bill was a true hero serving his country in Viet Nam and his community for many years as a Policeman in Dade County. He has earned a place in our hearts with gratitude and a place in heaven.

We proudly served our country and I was able to serve in the deparment with Bill.

Bill worked with me in OCB for many years. He was a good friend and great investigator.

We knew "Willie" in Brussels as a Marine Security Guard.  He was a lot of fun and made life there something to remember. I met Bill after I joined the MDPD back in 1970.  I never had the pleasure of working with him but did run across him on several occasions. He was a good Police Officer and a Patriot to the core.  He loved this Country as I do.

He will be missed by family and friends alike.  I always enjoyed his emails and my condolences go out to his family and friends.

He is now in a better place standing guard over those of us here.

I deeply saddened with the news of Bill's passing. I was a friend of your Bill's for over 20 years. He was the President of VVA 121 in Miami while I was President of VVA Chapter 23 in Fort Lauderdale. I recall like yesterday the aftermath of hurricane Andrew and working with Bill to bring food and water to those needing it. I also recall his time on the police force and the proud Marine he always was. For years I looked forward to his monthly newsletter. I will miss him greatly and remember him forever.

Bill and I were stationed in some of the same places (SE Asia and Brussels), but at different times. I'm glad we met a decade ago. It was through Sunshine Vets News that someone first said to me, "Welcome Home."
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

I will miss the lengthy phone conversation we used to have before he got so sick!  Who else will I be able to talk in so many different languages and  Bill knew quite a few of them.  I'm so very sorry he is gone, I miss him.  Stacey, please know that my thoughts are with you and your family during this very sad time.

We like to think we have made a difference in this world.  I rode with Bill on the Dade County Police Dept and can tell you he made a big difference and a lasting impression on us all.  He was a good cop, and we will miss him, along with his political insight and support of veterans.

Bill was my good friend and fellow veteran. I grieve for his passing and my condolences for his family. He helped me get a new life as a disabled vet. I was homeless and helpless and through his efforts I got an attorney and regained my life and dignity as a totally disabled veteran.

He was a fine gentlemand and fellow veteran and we had so many coffees together at the IHOP in Homestead, Fla. when he lived near there. A fine gentleman, great friend and a true PATRIOT.  I will miss him and his family was nice to me as well. His sister had me for thanksgiving dinner where I met Tom Soehlman and Tom's daughter.  It  was a special dinner for me since I have no family anymore.

Bill, you will be missed by so many friends and recipients of your veterans newsletters that helped me so many times with info and tips on how to have a better life.

may you rest in peace Bill, my friend. My condolences to his children and grandchildren and family.  I am on the west coast near Portland Oregon and am NOT able to attend the funeral.  Please excuse me for not attending.

I'm sad that my uncle is gone but, he is in a better place now. He is no longer in pain and is his happy self once again. Stacy I love you and I am sorry.
