Elizabeth Pearce "Liz" Mabe

Elizabeth Pearce "Liz" Mabe, of Charlotte, NC, passed peacefully into her next life on March 11, 2015, at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born August 20, 1958 in Gastonia, NC to Mary Heckert and Charles Rogers Pearce, Jr. The family is grateful to the wonderful ICU staffs at the Presbyterian Hospitals in Matthews and downtown Charlotte for their gallant efforts and care.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, James Michael Mabe; and her sister, Georgia “Peach” Pearce Hayes. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Charles Rogers “Skip” Pearce, III. She had no children, but was a great aunt and animal lover.

Liz graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BS in Business Administration and was a very successful salesperson. She was the Local and General Sales Manager at WSOC, and then for Clearwater Radio and TV until 2004, when she accepted a position as Senior Sales and Marketing Representative for Ryan Homes. She also had great adventures as an entrepreneur starting various companies including Successful Woman and a yoga salon called The Sanctuary.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o'clock in the afternoon until six o'clock in the evening on Sunday, the 15th of March, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill. Funeral services are private.

Liz was effervescent, full of life and love. She gave her all to everything she did and everyone she loved. She will be greatly missed.
