Joyce Tripp Dennis

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at seven o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 12th of February, 2016 at Morningstar Presbyterian Church, 13000 Idlewild Road, Matthews, NC 28105 officiated by The Reverend Stephen Mitchell and Dr. M. Lynn Sasser. The family will receive friends following the service. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, the 13th of February, 2016 at Sharon Memorial Park.

Rev. Dennis was born February 2, 1935 in Greenville, SC, daughter of the late Jones Malcolm Tripp and Marie Steedly Tripp.

Joyce was an active member of the Siskey YMCA for the last 15 years. She enjoyed serving the Young at Heart, journaling and loved her grandkids. She was a Minister of Christian Education and an ordained Reverend.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Mr. Dwight Muriel Dennis.

Survivors include two sons, Dwight (Al) Dennis and wife Mia of Mint Hill, NC and Leslie Keith Dennis and wife, Gina, of Mint Hill, NC; one sister, Shirley Tripp Smith of Greenville, SC; granddaughter, Reagan Lee Dennis; grandson, William Blake Dennis; granddaughter, Sterling Ayer Dennis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Rev. Dennis may be made to Young at Heart, Southpark Christian Church, 6650 Park South Drive, Charlotte, NC 28210.
