Jude Porter Como

Jude lived at home with his mom, dad and brothers in Indian Trail, North Carolina. He was fiercely loved and utterly adored by his entire family. He attended Porter Ridge High school, graduating in 2021. He was an active student who was a member of the wrestling and football teams, as well as being a member of the theater class. He fostered countless friendships and touched the lives of most everyone who met him. Social boundaries did not exist with Jude. He was the glue among his friends. He was quick witted, genuinely compassionate and loving to those around him, whether friend or stranger.

Jude was always there to celebrate your victory, or walk alongside you helping to shoulder your burden. His laugh was as obnoxious as it was contagious, and he brought a lot of laughter everywhere he went.

After graduating from high school, Jude began working for a local heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC) company. He was set to begin a new endeavor as an HVAC Technician at the time of his passing. He was so excited to begin this next step in his career journey.

Jude spent most of his free time with friends and loved ones. He absolutely loved to eat. Jude was well known for eating anything that wasn’t nailed down. He loved fast and loud cars, especially his black Mustang. He and his buddies spent many an hour in the garage working on their cars. He was affectionately known as the “car guy.”

Jude has left a gaping hole in all of our lives. We thank God Almighty for the gift of having 19 precious years with him.

Jude is survived by his parents, Kiley and Nikki Como; his brothers, Elijah Como and Ethan Como; his grandparents, Freda Stalcup, Kathy Kincaid, and Herb and Cindy Como; his aunts and uncles, Cindy Shelton and Lindsay & Jim Antweiler; and his cousins, Levi Shelton, Cora Antweiler, and James Antweiler.

He is predeceased by his grandfather, Glenn Stalcup.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Central Church, 5301 Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC. A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
