The light of our great man, Patrick Ronald Hathaway, will lie on the paths of all those that were fortunate enough to have had him in their lives and experience the warmth of his heart, the heartiness of his laughter, and courageousness of his spirit.
In the evening of his 48th birthday, September 17, 2014, after a year-and-a-half-long battle with cancer, Patrick let go of his great fight and left behind many family members, friends, and most importantly, the woman that kissed him softly, whispering her love to him, and letting him go – his beloved wife, Jennifer Guthrie Hathaway.
Patrick’s sudden decline has left behind many, many loved ones that span far outreaching those of just his immediate family. He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Ann Culliton, and stepfather, William Culliton, along with his two sisters Machelle Hathaway Foster and Audrey Hathaway, and brother Michael Hathaway, who will all miss and love him until their last breath.
While Patrick and Jennifer never had children, Patrick has many nieces and nephews that each hold a special place in their hearts for him and the amazing relationship they shared and the memories they made together. He loved each and every one of them as if they were his own. His child-like and jovial personality always made him a hit with all the children of the family; and while most are adults having children of their own, he will always be ‘Uncle Jungle Gym’ to them, no matter how old they get.
An HVAC specialist, Patrick was more than just your average coworker and employee. He poured his heart and soul into everything he did, including his work, impacting the lives all of those he worked with, mentored, and turned into a life-long friend.
His closest friends, co-workers, cousins, family, and all those that had the pleasure of knowing and loving him, will surely feel his light for many years to come.
