Mrs. McCall, age 90, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center. Born September 1, 1927 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late Paul R. Perkins and Annie Lee Sullivan Perkins.
She graduated from Derita High School and attended Carolina Business School. Mrs. McCall greatly enjoyed the 25 years she worked at The Buttercup, where she was compassionately called “Oz”. She was an avid bridge player, made beautiful quilts and was well known for her pound cakes and blackberry cobbler. Mrs. McCall was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
The service to celebrate the life of Pauline Perkins McCall will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 5th from the graveside at Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCall was preceded in death by her husband, Van Larry McCall; and a brother, Thomas L, Perkins, Survivors include two children, Lisa M. Rowland and husband, Bobby and Van Larry McCall and companion, Liz Ostrow; and a brother, John B. Perkins.
