Mr. William "Buddy" Harold Farrington

Buddy was born on January 5, 1935, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Curtis Farrington and Alice Farrington; two sisters; and Kasey, his loving Dog of 14 years.

Buddy graduated with a Military GED and from the Airforce School of Photography. He enlisted in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1956. He was a photographer with Douglas Aircraft before expanding his photography career by managing Kuglers Photography Studio. Buddy ended his career in sales at The Building Center South. He was a member of the Jack Wood Sunday School class at Arlington Baptist Church. Buddy enjoyed golf, softball and the beach, but his greatest love was his family and his dogs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Wilma W. Farrington; daughters, Cindy Tarleton and husband, Mark and Bonnie Broadwell and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Dallas Tarleton and wife, Jackie, Robbie Broadwell, Sabrina Cash and husband, Isaac; great-granddaughter, Kinsley Cash; his sister, Pat Huntley and husband, Thomas; his dog, Sammie; and several nieces and nephews along with a large extended family.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, at Arlington Baptist Church Chapel, with a celebration of his life to immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church. The Reverend Rick Whittier will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
