Robert “Bob” Lichtmann passed away on Monday, February 20, two days short of his 92nd birthday. He was born in Chicago on February 22, 1925 to Louis Lichtmann and Mindell Harris Lichtmann. After college and a short stint in the U.S. Navy at the end of WWII, he met and was married his beautiful bride, Charlotte, who preceded him in death. They were married for 62 years. A few years after moving to California in 1960, Bob started his own company. Covercraft Industries manufactured automotive soft goods and became the largest producer of custom fitted car covers in the world.
Bob is survived by his children, Larry and Tasnee Lichtmann, Marty and Donna Lichtmann, and Jay and Susan Lichtmann; 5 Grandchildren, Erin and Joshua Wyner, Andrew and Jenny Lichtmann, Daniel and Sarah Lichtmann, Art Busayajinda, and Ann and Sovan Phang; and 6 great grandchildren, Eliana and Kayla Wyner, Sophia and Ethan Lichtmann, Jace and Savannah Phang.
