Ronald Irwin Caplan, age 76, of Los Angeles, CA,passed away on Saturday,September 30, 2017 (11 Tishrei 5778). Ronnie was born July 31, 1941, in Cedars of Lebanon Hospital, in Los Angeles CA, to Malbert Jerome Caplan and Lois Jewell (née Winston) Caplan.
Ronnie survived by his wife, Ellen Ginsburg-Caplan; his children, Adam (Ellen Griffith) Caplan, Jeffrey Lester Caplan, and Laura (Richard) Sutton; his brother, Calvin (Judi) Caplan; his nephew, Rabbi Micah Caplan; his grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Hipps, Emily (Josh) Beasley, Daniel (Katie) Hipps, Hillary (Mark) Hutchins, Trina (Daniel) Osuna; Leah Hipps, Benjamin (Ashley) Hipps, Timothy Hipps, Laura Rosie Hipps, and John Hipps; and his great-grandchildren, Caroline Hipps, Melanie Hipps, Amanda Hipps, Katie Lou Hutchins, Weldon Hutchins, Daniel Osuna, and Lexi Osuna.
A graveside service for Ronnie will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2017, from 10:00 AM, at Eden Memorial Park, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345. Services will be officiated by Rabbi Micah Caplan. Flowers are being accepted, contributions may be made in Ronnie's memory to United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, www.ucpla.org
