Mrs. Betty Thomas, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Autumn Care Nursing Care. Mrs. Thomas was the daughter of the late Ben and Myrtle Conder Hilton, she was also preceded in death by her husband Howard Ben Thomas who died in 1984. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe; Services to celebrate her life will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, with Reverend Douglas Rumley officiating, interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. Survivors include two daughters: Marlene Love (Doug) of Raleigh N.C., Anita Thomas of Chesterfield S.C., One son: Eric Thomas (Sue) of Monroe N.C., Grandchildren: Maggie Love of Raleigh, N.C., Erica Thomas Fortson of Monroe N.C., one great grandchild: Nevah Fortson of Monroe, Sister: Geneva Thomas of Lake Wylie S.C., brother: Jack Hilton (Hazel) of Monroe N.C.
