She was born July 18, 1919 to the late Augustus and Sarah Brooks Biggers. Billie was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and a former Sunday School teacher. She was a beautician and owner of Cinderella Beauty Shop and was active in the Union County Home Extension Club years ago. Billie enjoyed oil painting and basket weaving for family and friends as well as tending flowers, sewing, cooking and traveling.
Billie is predeceased by her husband, Robert Paige and her siblings, Catherine Collins, Wade Biggers, Leo Hardister, Ruth Duncan and Margaret Jerome.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Jane) of Monroe; grandchildren, Valerie (David) Amick of Cornelius, Sonya (Aaron) Sexton of Midland and Malina (Keith) Rongstad of Missoula, MT and her great-grandchildren, Hadley Amick and Graham and Will Sexton.
Visitation will be at 11:00am on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe with a Celebration of Life service following at noon in McEwen's Colonial Chapel; officiated by Rev. Doug Rumley. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New Salem Baptist Church, 2915 Goldmine Rd., Monroe, NC 28110.
