

She was born April 16, 1948, in Monroe, NC.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to family and hard work. She was a cherished mom, nanny, and gran-nanny, always finding joy in the simple, beautiful moments of life.
She was a dedicated employee at Lowe’s of Monroe, where she made many friends. Her warm spirit, kindness, and ability to brighten someone's day made her a beloved presence among her coworkers and customers.
Above all, Brenda was devoted to her family. She cared for her parents in their final days with the same kindness and love that defined her life, offering them comfort and unwavering support. Her generosity and compassion touched everyone she met, and her presence brought warmth to those around her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tonya Judge (Joe), and Heather Talbert (Paul); her three beloved grandchildren, Amanda Sinclair (Dallas), Colton Smith (Holly), and Wyatt Talbert; and her three great-grandchildren, Palmer and Brooks Sinclair, and Holden Smith. In addition to her children, she leaves behind her brother, Jerry McCoy (Jean); her sister, Doris Napper; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind her beloved dog and faithful furry companion, Zoey, who was by her side through many years.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 10:30 am until 11:00 am at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street, Monroe, NC. A funeral service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held after the visitation at 11:15 am, with burial then following the service at Lakeland Memorial Park.
