Charles Kenneth Byrd Jr.

Charles Kenneth “Byrd” Jr., age 58, of Wingate, passed away on January 31, 2017. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 20, 1958, the son of the late Charles and Carol Byrd. He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter Annabell Hudson.

Byrd was a dedicated Christian as well as an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was a faithful member of Freedom Biker Church of Monroe and was a beloved husband, father, PawPaw, brother and friend who loved his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tamara Byrd “T-Byrd”; his son SSgt. Jonathan Byrd; his daughters, Christy Hedrick (Sean), Leslie Wyckoff and Ashley Hudson (David); his seven grandchildren, Star and Travis Hedrick, Alyssa Wyckoff, Aydan, Daymem, Izaiah and Jeramiah Hudson; and his two loyal brothers, Dennis Byrd and Billy Byrd.

The family will receive friends February 3, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Freedom Biker Church, 5113 W. Hwy 74, Monroe NC. Services to Celebrate the Life of Byrd will be February 4, 2017 at 3:00pm at the Freedom Biker Church. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Biker Church Building Fund, 5113 W. Hwy 74, Monroe NC 28110.
