Charles Vernon Walker

He was a kind, good, gentle, and caring man. Charlie had an impeccable and exemplary military career serving in the Navy, Army, National Guard and Honor Guard. He worked as a computer systems analyst in both the military and private sectors and served as a volunteer EMT in Grafton, Ohio before moving to Charlotte. He loved his family very much and treasured every moment spent with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Perle and Ellen Walker, and a sister, Genie. He is survived by his loving wife, Constance Walker; sons, Peter Cadieux (Brenda), Ricky Walker (Shelly-partner), and Michael Walker (Tina); and daughter, Vickie Walker. A service to celebrate his life along with military honors will be held at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street in Monroe, North Carolina on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 11:00 am.
