He was born Feburary 21, 1961 in Rock Hill, SC the son of Willine Ellis and the late Little Willie Ellis. He was the life long soul mate of Julie Annette Ellis and they had plans to re-marry December 19, 2021.
Darrell was a Certified Master Dog Groomer and owned his own grooming business. He loved animals, enjoyed cooking and fishing. He was a lover of life. Darrell is survived by his fiancee and life long soul mate, Julie Annette Ellis; their son, Jamie Ellis; his mother, Willine Ellis; his sisters, Darlene Ellis, Angie Eargle, and Pam Hancock all of Lancaster; his brother Scott Ellis of Tampa Bay, FL and close cousins Brandy Wright and Justin Wright.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm January 8, 2022 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Family will receive visitors at the home of Willine Ellis. Following the memorial service a celebration of life gathering will be at the home of his sister, Darlene Ellis.
