Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Robert Helms. She is survived by her sons, Lee Roy Helms and Bobby Bruce Helms (Marie); ten grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, August 2, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 11:00am at McEwen's Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
