He was born in Union County on January 9th, 1948, son of the late Joe Rufus Lee and Ollie Mae Mattox Lee.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Veronica Anne Lee; and his brothers, Joe Ralph Lee and James Eustace Lee. He is survived by his children, Connie Lee and Mickey Lee (Christy); his son/grandson, Cody Joe Lee; his grandchildren, Ashley Griffin, Garrett Lee (Morgan) and McKenzie Lee; his great grandchildren, Jackson Sims, Holden Lee, Luke Lee and Veronica Gale Lee; his brother, Lannie Lee; and his sisters, Elsie Thomas, Brenda Purser (Jimmy), and Linda Laney (Ronnie).
The family will receive friends for visitation at Midway Community Church; 3625 Stack Rd, Monroe, NC, 28112 at 2pm on Saturday April 13th, 2024. A graveside service will follow in the church cemetery at 3pm.
