Jacqueline Griffin

Jacqueline “Jackie” Hargett Griffin, age 90, of Marshville, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2015. She was born in Union County on September 23, 1924 to the late John Grady and Ruby Tolitha Griffin Hargett.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Marion Claude Griffin; her sister, Muriel Hargett Helms and her brother, John Grady Hargett Jr.

She is survived by her two sons, Marion Claude Griffin Jr. (Donna) of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Donald Richard Griffin (Deborah) of Salisbury, N.C. Five grandchildren; Jeffrey Darren Griffin (Stephanie) of Yadkinville, N.C., Lorri Griffin Anderson (Andy) of Sparta, N.C., Suzanne Griffin Beauchamp (Richard) of Littleton, CO., David Gregory Griffin of Rockwell, N.C., and Rebecca Dawn Griffin of Salisbury, N.C. Seven great-grandchildren; Lauren Hossfeld of Kernersville, N.C., Taylor Griffin of Kernersville, N.C., Garrett Tredwell of Sparta, N.C., Ray Tredwell of Sparta, N.C., Griffin Smith of Littleton, CO., MacKenzie Smith of Littleton, CO., Liam Beauchamp of Gray, GA.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 6302 East Lawyers Road, Marshville, NC 28103 with the funeral service starting at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church, In care of Jimmy Helms, 907 Forest Drive, Marshville, N.C., 28103.
