CeCe and David, I was so saddened to read about your mother's death. I have so many fond memories of your mother as I knew her (and both of you) when I worked with your dad at Meredith College during the early 70's. She loved both of you very much and I can remember her coming to the office bragging on whatever each one of you were involved in at the time. Treasure all those memories in your hearts, especially as you say your final goodbyes to Jane tomorrow. You and your families are in my prayers.

David and I remember Jane and Allen from First Baptist Church in Raleigh. They were pillars of the church and always a lively and pleasant couple. David also remembers them from an earlier time when Allen was his student teacher , and he later helped them find a home after they had moved to Raleigh.

The picture of Jane really captures her warm spirit, and we send sincere condolences to the family. We wish we could make the memorial service but we are already committed out-of-town. We know it will be a fine tribute to her!

What sweet memories we have of Jane and Allen. From many years at Cary High School, Jane was always the epitome role model for how to be a good mother, grandmother, wife, educator, and friend. I admired the both of them because I always thought of them as one. After Cary High School, our times together were once a year at our annual Christmas party. We even changed it from nighttime to afternoon in order to make sure they could come after driving became an issue. We will hold the both of them in our hearts and know that we are better for having known them.
