Born September 9, 1943 to the late Claxton Howard Rape and Hazel McManus Rape, Jerry grew up and lived in Union County. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was an enthusiast of classic cars as well.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet Presson (Mark) of Monroe, North Carolina and Pam Honeycutt of Marion, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
