He was born on October 27, 1953, son of the late Luther and Jean Freeman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Freeman; his son, Jimmy Freeman II; his daughter, Debbie Stevens and by his brother, Ronnie Freeman.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Kathy Freeman Ellis (Jason); his fiance, Terry Luckadoo; his grandchildren, Hannah Leigh Ellis, Jimmy Ray Ellis, Marie Solis (Francisco) and Brandon Newcomer; his great-grandchild, Koraline Solis; his brothers, Gurney Freeman (Linda) and Danny Freeman; his sister, Darlene Sanders (Terry) and by his nieces and nephews, Ronnie Lee Freeman (Brandy), Lee Freeman (Adrienne), Tony Sanders (Amy), Sherri Sanders, Derrick Lewis, Suzy Racicot (Bryan), Jason Jones, Wendy Freeman Williamson and Brandy Harris Benson.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Freeman will be held at 11:00am Friday, June 11, 2021 at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the family of Mr. Freeman.
