He is preceded in death by his father, David Gill. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Inez Brautigam; sons, Ryan Gill and Chris Gill; daughters, Katie Gill and Kimberly Gill; brother, Tony Gill; sister, Patty Gill; and grandmother, Nell Mills.
