Margie enjoyed doing Word Search puzzles, talking on the phone with friends and watching old time shows such as Hee Haw. She loved to read her Bible and listen to Gospel music. She was an excellent cook and known for her cornbread and biscuits. Most of all, Margie loved her family.
Margie is predeceased by her parents, Fuzz Sr. and Lucy Curlee, her son, Fuzz Jr., brother, Junior and sisters, Rebecca and Betty.
She is survived by her son, Butch Wethington and daughter, Cheryl Miller; grandchildren, Shane, Christy, Jeremy, Amy, Joey, Lucas, Emily, Jennifer and Allison;
great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kaden, Ashlyn, Macy, Nealy, Jack, Brayden and Lucy; her sister, Frances “Vallie” Benton and brother-in-law, Roy and her daughter-in-law, Susan McCoy Rape.
The family will receive friends at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Jerry McCoy will officiate the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Shane Miller, Jeremy Miller, Lucas Rape, Kyle Miller, Kaden Miller and Brad Nicholson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
