Born on May 6, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the beloved son of the late James E. Wilson and Ruth Byrne-Wilson.
A dedicated and hardworking individual, Michael earned his masters degree and devoted 45 years to his career.
Beyond his profession, Michael had a deep love for reading and an appreciation for a wide variety of music. He stayed well-informed on current events and loved a good debate. He was a major NASCAR fan and especially admired his favorite driver, Jimmie Johnson. He took great pleasure in grilling and often enjoyed a good, medium rare steak paired with a perfectly mixed gin and tonic.
Michael had a heart of gold. He had immense love and compassion for animals, particularly dogs, and found true joy in quiet moments at home with his wife and pets. He prioritized quality time and relaxation, cherishing time spent with family above all else. His kindness knew no bounds—always willing to lend a helping hand, even to those he barely knew. To those who had the privilege of knowing him, Michael was a source of warmth and unwavering support.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Jennie Wilson; his cherished children, Alex Wilson, Connor Wilson, Natalie Mingo, Stafanie Rising, Tamesh Ramdihal, Philip Wilson, and Victoria Wilson; and his adored grandchildren, Gabrielle Mingo, George Mingo Jr., and Isabel Wilson. He is also survived by his brother, James Wilson Jr.; sons-in-law, George Mingo and Tristen Rising; and future daughters-in-law, Ariel McAlpine, Brittany Freeman, and Morisa Tarlton.
