Wayne had worked at Cyril Bath in Monroe for a number of years. He loved the land and watching plants and trees grow and produce. He enjoyed the simple things – the quiet serenity of the woods or a visit with close friends. He loved grilling out with family and spending time with loved ones.
Wayne was a perfectionist when it came to woodworking or restoration – he had the patience required to turn it into art. He also loved TV westerns or anything that harkened back to simpler times. He lived by the creed that a man’s word was his bond. He felt that nothing was more important than the love of God, family, and friends.
Survivors include brother, Dale Robinson and wife Andrea of Monroe; sisters, Bonnie Austin of Weddington, Debbie Davis and husband Mike of Huntersville, NC. Five nephews, four nieces, and two great nieces. He was preceded in death by parents Milton and Mabel Robinson, sister, Dana Robinson Britt, and brother-in-law Jim Austin.
Burial service will be private and a Memorial service to honor his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Siler Presbyterian Church, 6301 Weddington Road, Matthews NC, 28104; or to a charity of your choice.
“Let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14: 1-3 (ASV)
