

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reece and Helen Taylor Rogers of Marshville, NC.
Mrs. Godfrey is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Douglas Godfrey; her two daughters, Rhonda Stanley (Warren) of Waxhaw and Wendy Laney (Scott) of Monroe; 7 grandchildren, Tiffany Jiang (Michael), Brittany Sterling, Joshua Stanley, Kaitlyn Laney, Colton Laney (Sara Spears), Kacey Laney, Cara Laney; 4 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Kirkley (Richard) of Pageland, SC and Judy Rogers of Marshville, NC; one brother-in-law, John Godfrey (Mary) of Monroe, NC; and 4 nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street in Monroe, NC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home with burial following at Lakeland Memorial Park.
