Nancy Louise Godfrey

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reece and Helen Taylor Rogers of Marshville, NC.

Mrs. Godfrey is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Douglas Godfrey; her two daughters, Rhonda Stanley (Warren) of Waxhaw and Wendy Laney (Scott) of Monroe; 7 grandchildren, Tiffany Jiang (Michael), Brittany Sterling, Joshua Stanley, Kaitlyn Laney, Colton Laney (Sara Spears), Kacey Laney, Cara Laney; 4 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Kirkley (Richard) of Pageland, SC and Judy Rogers of Marshville, NC; one brother-in-law, John Godfrey (Mary) of Monroe, NC; and 4 nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street in Monroe, NC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home with burial following at Lakeland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Gideon International and/or Hospice House of Monroe.
