

Abundio Mark (Mar) Esmero, Jr., a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010, surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 3, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit (across from Wynlakes) with Rev. Monsignor Charles Troncale officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 2, 2010, from 4-7 p.m. at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Eden Esmero; daughters, Leah (D.J.) Rawlinson and Christine Esmero; grandson, Jacob Rawlinson; sisters, Norilyn King and Catherine Esmero; brothers, Romeo, Alex, Emmanuel, Michael, Ferdinand and Tofer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abundio Esmero, Sr. and Diosa Esmero; sister, Gemma; and brother, Jesus. Mr. Esmero graduated Magna Cum Laude with degrees in management Information Systems; he was a computer analyst for BAE Systems, Northop-Grumman, Tek Systems, MASTECH, Inc., CACI and Anteon Corp. He was personal tennis coach and proud Papa to his daughters for several years, who both became NCAA scholar athletes. He was a member of Knights of Columbus; and a regular contributor to the editorial page of the Montgomery Advertiser. One of his favorite things was to raise up his voice in praise of the Lord. He was an active member of the Cancer Support Group. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Esmero’s memory. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thanks to in-laws, nieces and nephews, other extended loving family and friends; his physicians, Dr. K. Matin, Dr. T. Beatrous, Drs. Mary and Leon Casals; the Staff of the Montgomery Cancer Center and Baptist East Hospital. Pallbearers will be Mur Dioquino, D.J. Rawlinson, Raffy Baltazar, Danny Pita, Dr. Leon Casals,
