Edwin C. Myers, 78, of Montgomery, AL, and formerly of Karnak, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 after a long battle with heart disease. Ed retired from the USAF in 1981 after 20 years of service as a Senior Master Sergeant, plus 3 years prior service in the USMC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl N. and Ethelle Meyers of Karnak, IL, a daughter Cindy, and a grandson Mathew. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sylvia Meyers; son, Thomas Meyers (Traci); daughter, Suzanne Little (Ricky); grandchildren, Brooke Chhabra (Deepanshu), Emily, Christina, Jennifer, Erin and Stephen; great grandchildren, Jay and Lily Chhabra; two brothers, Mike Meyers (Judy) and Tom Meyers (Carol).
A Celebration of Life Service with military honors will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
