Glyn Jackson Gray

Glyn Jackson Gray, USAF Lt Colonel Retired, passed away on April 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne Gray, parents, Horace Gray and Willie Gray, and Brother Donald Gray. He is survived by his three daughters Jackie Stoudenmire (Jay), Jamie Gray, Julie Lugar (Billy), Grandchildren Austin Stoudenmire, Jeremy Stoudenmire (Ashley), Jodi Conrad (Todd), Julie Saylor (Zac), Will Lugar, and Cassie Lugar. Great grandchildren Madison Stoudenmire, Parker Stoudenmire, Avery Stoudenmire, Alden Conrad.

Glyn served twenty five years in the United States Air Force during Vietnam as a pilot. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Meritorious Service, and numerous other medals and decorations. In addition, he worked with the State of Alabama for almost twenty years.

Funeral services will be on April 17, 2017 at the Alabama Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm with graveside services and military burial following visitation. Rev. Phillip A. McKenna will be performing grave side services.

Glyn was very much a family man and spent endless hours with his wife and children. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars.
