

Harry was born and raised in Crenshaw County, Alabama. He had many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was always active and involved in various sports in high school. When it came time he retired from the State of Alabama Department of Transportation as a Civil Engineer. He loved his country and served in the US Army/Alabama Army National Guard for more than 20 plus years. He retired from the US Army as a First Sergeant in 2001. After retirement, he took up golfing. He played at the Bonnie Crest Country Club where he was a member for many years.
Harry loved his family deeply which included his dogs; Judd, Nikki, Bud, and Boomer.
He is survived by his daughter, Dione M. Penn.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie B. Penn; father, Kermit R. Penn; mother, Mabel K. Penn; and brother, Kenneth Penn.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home,10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama 36117 in the Magnolia Room on Sunday, August fourteenth at ten in the morning with a service to follow beginning at eleven in the morning.
