James Thomas Green was born on September 22, 1943. He went as "Jim" by everyone who knew him. Jim joined the Air Force as a young man and went on to serve 22 years of active duty, retiring as a Msgt. He continued to work as a civilian contractor for the United States Military. Jim decided to retire in October of 2005 to spend more time with his wife of 42 years, Betty Ann Green , before her passing.
In Jim's spare time he loved to go fishing, especially bass fishing. He also had a love for riding motorcycles. One of the proudest moments of his life was the birth of his grandson, Timothy Joel Hinton, who shared his Paw Paw's passion for bass boats. If you were to ask his daughter, Shelly, her proudest moment of her father, it would be watching him walk across the stage to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. He completed his degree all while working 3 full time jobs as well as attending college.
Jim's family requests for donations in his honor to be made to the American Cancer Society.
