Matthew is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Suzanne Marie Rugetti; children, Renee, Juli, Tina and Matthew; and grandchildren, Dante, MacKenzie, Cooper, Chase, Taylor, Jason, Michael, James, Matthew and Ella.
Those who knew Matthew understood, quickly and clearly, what it meant to be met with steady loyalty and genuine care. He was devoted in the ways that matter most—showing up, standing firm, and giving of himself without hesitation. His hard work was not performed for recognition, but offered as a quiet, constant expression of responsibility and love.
Matthew cherished his family and loved his wife dearly. His family was his whole universe. His compassion and selflessness reached beyond the walls of his home; if you knew him, you were like family, and you were fortunate to have a person like him in your life.
