Mattie Vivian Whitehurst Morgan, 81, resident of Pike Road, Alabama, born March 1, 1929, in Troy, Alabama, married to James W. Morgan on January 17, 1953, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011, at her home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Mickey Castleberry and Rev. Winston Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, January 3, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home. Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband, James W. Morgan, Jr.; one daughter, Jan (Jeff) Frasher, Montgomery, AL; one son, Alan (Julia) Morgan, San Antonio, TX; two sisters, Carolyn Townsend, Crestview, FL, and Betty Jo (Irving) Lott, South Carolina; three grandsons, Jason (Stephanie) Morgan, Ft. Benning, GA, Justin Morgan, San Antonio, TX, and Jeremy Frasher, Montgomery, AL. Pallbearers will be Jason Morgan, Justin Morgan, Jeremy Frasher, Jeff Frasher James Myles and Mike Whitehurst.
