William found joy in the simple pleasures of life such as immersing himself in books, honing his black belt martial arts skills, participating in the OLLI at AUM Brain Bowl class among other classes, visiting the beach, and playing with his beloved dog Mishka at the dog park almost daily.
William was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Huffman Wood; his father, William Joseph Wood Sr.; and his Brother-In-Law, Anthony Rogers.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity, carried forward by his loving wife, Debby Weaver Wood; his daughter, Elizabeth Wood Cotellese (Daniel); his grandchildren, Rocco William Cotellese and Nicolas Anthony Cotellese; his sister, Joyce Rogers; and his loving dog Mishka.
A visitation and celebration of life gathering will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, October 15 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Salvation Army, Montgomery Humane Society, or Signal Centers.
