

Yupi Ma Ling (Peggy), beloved wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home Monday, March 25, 2024 at the age of 80. Peggy was born in Tong Xiao, Miaoli County, Taiwan on November 1, 1943.
Peggy came from a family of farmers, specializing in fruits and vegetables. This became a way of life for her, eventually turning her family home in Montgomery into a garden oasis, cultivating fruits and vegetables of all kinds and turning them into beautiful, delicious dishes to feed her entire family.
After emigrating to the United States in 1977, Peggy and her husband Ming Hong eventually moved their family to Alabama where they opened the distinguished Chinese restaurant, Peking Palace. Together with their combined talents, Peggy and Ming Hong brought to Montgomery a place for everyone to gather and enjoy great food, great company, and an atmosphere centered around family for over 35 prosperous years.
Her love radiated in everything she touched. Her love continues to radiate today through her children, grand-children, great-grandchildren, and friends.
Her family would like to take this time to thank her for her lifelong dedication to family and would like to wish her well in her next life's journey. She is finally reunited with the love of her life, Ming Hong, and together they will continue to share their love and passion with those part of their new adventure.
Peggy is predeceased by her husband Ming Hong, older sister, and is survived by her 3 siblings, 3 children Nancy, Jenny, & Henry, 9 grandchildren, & 7 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Peggy will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
