Alton J. Vickers Sr.

November 14, 1962 - March 10, 2021

Alton was born November 14, 1962 to the late Alton and Conjetta Vickers in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. He was called to his heavenly home March 10, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

During Alton's life he had many hobbies and interests like drawing, taking nature walks while listening to the birds, and surfing the internet. He was also an amazing cook and loved WWE wrestling. He accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior on February 26, 2021.

Alton is survived by his best friend and love of his life (wife) Debra Downs Vickers; two sons, Joseph "Lil Joe" and wife Monica Mabile and Alton John Vickers Jr.; six daughters, Becky Businelle, Alissa Padilla Guzman and husband Selvin, Ali Vickers Depaz and husband Freddie, Megan Meier, Elizabeth Hanson and Amy Johnson; three brothers, Edward Vickers and wife Candice, David Vickers, and James "Jimmy" Voisin Sr. and wife Billie; two sisters, Theresa Vickers and companion Clyde and Shirley Vickers; two brothers in law, Bobby Ray Dees and Brad Breaux and wife Lopie. Alton is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Elliot Depaz, Gabriel Martinez, Lorenzo Padilla Guzman, Fabian Padilla Guzman, Zariah Padilla Guzman, Leila Padilla Guzman, Haile Vickers, Eva Vickers, Liam Harding, and one particular granddaughter his partner in crime and his little dancer Abigail Mabile. Alton is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in laws, and numerous loved ones.

Alton is proceeded in death by his parents, Alton and Conjetta; his grandparents, Johnny and Anita Bye Nicolosi, Lucille Haddex Rutledge, Ed F. Rutledge, and Avell Vickers.

Alton's family would like to give a special thanks to his daughter Becky Businelle; son Joseph "Lil Joe" and wife Monica; his brother and sister in law James “Jimmy” and wife Billie and very close family friends Carolyn Baye and Jerry and wife Stephanie Percle who had stayed by his side for the last six years of his illness; also Pastor Ronald and the staff of Heart of Hospice and finally to all his friends and family who supported them in their time of need.

Visitation for Alton will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 from 10:00am – 2:00pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. Services will be at 2:00pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
