Dorothy Thomas

Mrs. D. was a wonderful, sassy presence who left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Known for her beloved fur coats—worn proudly in both summer and winter—you always knew Mrs. D. had arrived the moment she walked up. She loved driving cars back and forth for Courtesy Ford, a job she truly enjoyed. A devoted housewife and loving mother, she poured her heart into her family. Mrs. D. was also a proud and faithful member of Bayou Vista Baptist Church, where she found great joy singing in the choir and serving alongside her church family. She will be remembered for her style, her spirit, and her warm, loving heart.

D will be forever cherished in the hearts of her daughter, MIranda "Mandy" L. Suire; her son-in-law, Tommy Suire and daughter-in-law, Donna McClendon.

She was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Ralph "Pappy" Thomas and her son, Leon K. McClendon.

The family requests that a time of visitation be observed on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 10:00am until time of services which will begin promptly at 12noon at Bayou Vista Baptist Church in Bayou Vista. Following service, D will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
