Gwendolyn Clark

March 10, 1936 – December 6, 2010

Gwendolyn Ray Clark, 74, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at Teche Regional Medical Center with her loving family in attendance.

Gwendolyn loved her family and was often found sitting outside enjoying the open while doing her crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her son Steve Clark and his wife Deborah of Berwick; a brother Clarence Young of St. Martinville; Grandchildren Terri Clark and husband Nathan Sylestine and Shawn Clark and his companion Brandi Watson; and great grandchildren Alivia Clark, Alexis Clark, Donna, Jeremy, Sidney and Josh Sylestine.

Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her parents Adraste and Marceline Fruge Young; her husband of 35 years Leon Clark; and brothers Bruce, Wayne and Ira Young.

A time of reflection and remembrance will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home continuing Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home with a burial service at 10:00 a.m.

She will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery.
