He is survived by his wife, Sen Tran; nine children, Huyen Nguyen and her husband, Thanh Trinh and their children, Thanh Nguyen and his wife, Tham Nguyen, and their children, Lap Nguyen Haydel and her husband, Johnny Haydel, and their children, Son Nguyen, Sherry Nguyen and her husband, Anh Luan Nguyen, and their children, Thai Nguyen and his wife, Angela Mai Tran, and their children, Phuong Nguyen and her husband, Thanh Nguyen, and their child, Do Nguyen, and Luong Nguyen.

A visitation for Ngoan Nguyen will be held on Thursday, September 24 starting at 5pm – 9pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. On Friday, September 25, a wake will be held at 6pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by viewing. On Saturday, September 26, visitation will resume at 8am until time of dismissal at Hargrave Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held following visitation at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Amelia. Ngoan will be laid to rest in the St. Andrew’s Church Cemetery in Amelia.
