It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved Olivia Stewart Guarisco—forever our little princess and firecracker. Olivia passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, gently closing her eyes to this earthly life and entering into eternal glory. She was 32 years old.
Olivia was born on July 25, 1993, in Morgan City to Heather Stewart Scully and Wayne D. Nix. She was the only daughter among three children and was cherished deeply by her family. From the very beginning, Olivia was full of life—always on the move and impossible to slow down. Her family fondly recalls how hard it was to keep up with her boundless energy, yet they embraced every moment, spoiling their baby girl with love and even her favorite drink, Dr Pepper, from her bottle.
That same vibrant spirit followed Olivia into her school years. She was a proud member of the Berwick High School Panthers Track and Field team and graduated in 2011. After graduation, she enrolled in cosmetology school, but life would ultimately guide her down a different path. Many will remember Olivia for her time as a waitress, where she greeted everyone with a warm smile and delivered exceptional service, leaving a lasting impression on all she met.
To know Olivia was to know a young woman of strong will, bold self-expression, and deep love for her family. You always knew where you stood with Olivia—she was genuine and true to her feelings. She took pride in her tattoo artwork, which reflected her personality, her experiences, and her passions.
Above all else, Olivia treasured her family. Home was her haven—a place filled with laughter, comfort, and togetherness. Her greatest pride and joy were her children, Asher James Guarisco and Adlie Marie Guarisco. Being their mother was the most meaningful role in her life, and she gave them her whole heart, loving them unconditionally.
Although our hearts are broken by her untimely passing, we will forever hold Olivia’s memory close. Our precious Olivia, we await the day we will all be reunited in the heavens above. Until that day, may you rest in peace. We love you always.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Asher James Guarisco and Adlie Marie Guarisco; her parents, Heather (Shane) Scully and Wayne (Dawn) Nix; her brothers, Chase Scully and Seth Scully; her step-grandparents, Geri and Andy Kovac and Elwood Scully; her godparents, Shelly and Colby Ferrier; and her niece and nephew, Stella Scully and Oliver Scully.
Olivia was preceded in death by her husband, Austin M. Guarisco; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, with the reading of a special poem at noon, followed by shared memories from family and friends. Olivia will be laid to rest privately at a later date.
