Alice M. “Bugs” Buckner age 74 was born in Escanaba, Michigan on January 30, 1937 to the late Jack and Mary Parins and passed away on October 24, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Evert Buckner; four children, Damon (Rhonda) Heethuis, Danny (Brit) Heethuis, Dennis Heethuis; Charlotte (Steve) Meyers; six grandchildren, Nick, Lindsay, Toni, Jake, Adam, and Brad; great-granddaughter, Johanna; brother, Jack (Celina) Parins; special friends, Suzie Kozik and Julie Billman. Bugs enjoyed spending time at the casino and she loved animals. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel with Pastor Joseph Vest officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Hospice or the Noah Project.
